Finishing up details of LH outboard wing substructure prior to putting on skin.
Added 1/4" to the top of the outboard paddle openings for the inboard paddle clearance. Riveted the outboard doubler channel to fwd rib #7. Installed the outbd paddle assembly and installed castle nut and cotter pin.
Installed the fwd part of the aileron push rod (C03-08) with castle nut and cotter pin. Used a Heim rod end instead of the Aurora MW-5 called out in the plans. No bushing required on the Heim. This was approved by Sonex tech (email dtd 3/8/12). Builder note: when the pushrod is connected to the aileron, the rod has slight interference at the lower portion going through the spar. The hole in the lower inbd corner of the outboard forward web W18-16 needs to be ground to match the rod penetration hole in W18-14. The overlap is shown in W11-01.
Installed the 4-contact electrical pad for wing lights.
Secured the inbd 1/4" conduit onto the main spar with a 1/4" clamp and installed a pull string.. This conduit is for a possible future electric trim tab.
Placed an order with Aircraft Spruce for wingtip lights, additional hardware from latest parts list, 24 gauge Tefzel wire, and other misc nuts/bolts on my "to buy" list.
Incorporated drawing changes from Onex Revisions Log dated 2/29/12 although there are entries as recent as 3/7/12.
